Virginia Episcopal School seeks to fill a full-time position in Spanish for the 2026-27 academic year. A bachelor’s degree is required. The successful candidate will have:

• Demonstrated strength and experience in teaching language classes. More specifically, we are looking for fluency in Spanish and experience in designing curriculum aligned with ACTFL standards, with a commitment to proficiency-driven instruction and meaningful cultural integration. 
• Demonstrated interest in, and experience with, student-centered educational practices.
• Demonstrated experience in a variety of teaching methods.
• A willingness to partake in a variety of school needs, including coaching a sport or leading activities.
• The ability to enjoy, engage, and inspire adolescents to strive toward their best in the classroom and community, as their teacher, advisor, coach, and dorm parent.
• Experience in a boarding school is preferred but not necessary.
• Master’s Degree preferred. 

In addition, each VES faculty member serves as an advisor to a small group of students, leads or supports afternoon programs, and supports the residential life program as a member of a duty team or dorm parent.
