Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment firm, is currently seeking dual-language French and Spanish Teachers for the 2025-2026 school year at private and independent schools in New York, NY, Princeton, NJ; Atlanta, GA; Miami, FL; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Baltimore, MD, and various locations in Connecticut.

French and Spanish Teacher Responsibilities:
Teach several language sections, with a combination of French and Spanish, to students in grades 6–12.
Providing conversational classes where pronunciation and important words and phrases are taught.
Conducting research on teaching methods, materials, and language games that can be used in class.
Scheduling and preparing students for oral and written examinations.
Monitoring student's progress by writing up reports and grading assessments.
Organizing feedback sessions with students and their parents if applicable.
Providing suggestions for further learning and scheduling intervention sessions with struggling students.
Teaching students about Spanish and French culture, which may include festivals, traditional food, and dress, and social conventions.
Organizing fun events where students can showcase their Spanish and French language skills.

French and Spanish Teacher Requirements:
An undergraduate degree in Spanish, French or a related field.
Master's degree preferred.
2-3 years of previous teaching experience.
No teaching license or credential is required.
Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of ACTFL standards preferred.
Well-organized and able to handle multiple responsibilities.
Detail-oriented and resilient.
Additional Desired Qualities:
Willingness to work with both middle and high school students.
Ability to teach both French and Spanish is preferred.
Passion for foreign language education.
Desire to be involved in school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities.
