 Job Duties: The Department of Ancient and Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) invites applications for a full-time lecturer position in the Korean language to begin in September 2026. This position is for the fall of 2026 and spring of 2027. This position can be renewed upon further need and satisfactory performance. 
 The teaching load will be 12 credit hours per semester. This lecturer position will be non-remote and in-residence at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Duties for the successful candidates will include teaching the first- and second-year Korean language courses (from the first semester to the fourth semester in a Korean language sequence) and actively participating in extracurricular activities and program events. It&#39;s crucial to work with collegiality.

 Required Qualifications: A master&#8217;s degree or higher degree in Korean language or linguistics, applied linguistics, language education, second language acquisition, or a related field; Experience teaching the Korean language at the college or university level Native or near-native fluency in Korean and English An explicit understanding of the linguistic properties of Korean and the cultural background necessary to teach Korean 
 Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching both independently and collaboratively in a team environment Experience participating in and organizing extracurricular activities in support of department and programmatic goals Ability to teach Chinese or Japanese The salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.</description>

 Madison Country Day School , a PreK-12 International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, is seeking an MYP Spanish language educator for the 2025-26 school year.  Have experience with or a willingness to learn the Middle Years Programme (MYP) approach to &#xa0;language acquisition ; 
 Contribute to the school&#8217;s extracurricular offerings and serve as a middle school advisor; 
 Have the ability to design and facilitate rigorous, empowering lesson plans that are student-centered and thought-provoking; 
 Have intellectual curiosity and a desire to spark a love of language learning in students; 
 Have excellent communication skills, a genuine appreciation of adolescents, a sense of humor, and the ability to work well within a collaborative environment; 
 Believe in the intrinsic relationship between social-emotional learning and culturally responsive pedagogy.&#xa0; 
 &#xa0;&#xa0; QUALIFICATIONS 
 
 Have full eligibility to work in the US 
 Have a bachelor&#8217;s degree in a relevant field; 
 At least 2 years of teaching experience; 
 Excellent oral, organizational, and written communication skills; 
 Experience with the International Baccalaureate is welcome, but not required.</description>
