Position Summary Bancroft School seeks an Upper School World Language Teacher to join our talented team of educators beginning August 2025. This position will teach Spanish from introductory to advanced levels. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to successfully collaborate with colleagues across languages and disciplines and be an integral member of the all-school World Language department. Experience in and enthusiasm for proficiency-based, acquisition-driven world language instruction are important for the candidate to participate in the continued growth and innovation of the department. Candidates must also believe in every student’s capacity for learning and critical thinking, especially regarding inquiry and challenge for our students. Candidates must also be able to effectively collaborate and coordinate communications with students, parents, staff, and other school community members.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Spanish or related education field (Master’s preferred)
Three to five years of teaching experience preferred
Experience in and enthusiasm for implementing inquiry-based learning
Proven ability to differentiate instruction
Familiarity with best practices for equitable teaching and learning environments
Essential Attitudes & Aptitudes
A collaborative spirit
A willingness to participate and partner with colleagues on curricular and cultural initiatives
An understanding of and care for students of different ages

Compensation is based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, skills, expertise, and internal equity.
