Pediatric Genetic Counselor - Coastal South Texas
Driscoll Children’s Hospital is seeking a full time Genetic Counselor position in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Genetics. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and growing division that includes a clinical geneticist, a genetics nurse, and a genetics medical assistant, and two dedicated medical office specialists, with a second clinical geneticist set to join the team this year. The role is pivotal in providing genetic counseling primarily for pediatric patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, while also extending services to adult patients as needed. The Genetic Counselor will be responsible for reviewing, eliciting, and interpreting family, medical, and psychosocial histories to provide informed counseling.
