Savannah Country Day School is seeking a creative, innovative, and energetic Spanish teacher to join our learning community for the 2025-2026 academic year. This full time position will include teaching at least five sections of middle school Spanish and serving as a student advisor. The ideal candidate will effectively meet the diverse needs of our student body, teaching at various levels while bringing the Spanish language to life. We are looking for someone who can inspire students to explore the culture, history, and richness of the Spanish-speaking world. • Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or a related field, Master’s Degree strongly preferred. • Three (3) or more years’ teaching experience is strongly desired. • Candidates should possess a very strong proficiency in Spanish with a solid background in language acquisition theory and pedagogy. • The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach a range of Spanish courses, from Middle School to AP level. • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to function as part of the World Language Department team is desired. • Attendance at evening and weekend functions is occasionally required.
