Candidates must have a BA, with an MA preferred. The ideal candidate for this position must be fluent in Spanish, have a master's degree, a minimum of five years as a classroom teacher, and understand the cultural heritage of Spanish-speaking nations in our world. Experience teaching in an Independent School at the Middle School level preferred. Successful candidates have a passion for working with students and an understanding of differentiated instruction, personalized learning, and trauma-informed practices. Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, the ability and desire to work collaboratively, and dedication to continuously developing and practicing cultural competence in one’s teaching are also essential. An interest in coaching and leading extracurricular activities or sports is also a plus.
