Teach part-time Special Education courses. Teaching opportunities will be based on need each semester. Course availability may include the following: Individuals with Exceptionalities in Society; Characteristics and Needs of Children and Youth with Mild/Moderate Disabilities; Introduction to Sign Language; Education for Children and Youth with Emotional and Behavior Needs; Characteristics and Needs of Exceptional Children with Moderate/Intensive Disabilities; Classroom Management for Exceptional Children and Youth; Transition Planning, Social Skill Development, and Health-Related Issues; Service Coordination, Collaboration and Consulting for Students with Special Needs; and Student Teaching Seminar.
The Department of Teacher Education sets high standards for our teacher candidates. Our goal is for every teacher candidate to graduate from our various programs ?classroom ready?. The Ohio Standards for the Teaching Profession guide ensures that every teacher candidate receives a quality education.
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students promptly. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university-provided tools and resources.
Ability to contribute to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the University community through teaching.

Minimum Qualifications: At least a Master?s degree in Special Education. Minimum of three years of teaching experience in Special Education. Must hold a teaching license. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of technology as used in teaching.
