Greenbrier County Board of Education (Lewisburg, WV) seeks a Spanish Teacher. Instruct assigned Spanish classes at Greenbrier County High Schools. Plan and implement West Virginia Content Standards and Objectives. Plan and implement personalized learning including a collaborative model with students and teachers, including ESL students that Spanish is their primary language. Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning. Prepare teaching plan for high school classes assigned. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media. Exercise necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Evaluate and monitor student progress. Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation. Attend and participate in faculty meetings. Attend all meetings involving students, parents, teachers and administration that require a Spanish to English translation of conversations or documents. Cooperate with high school staff in planning instructional goals, objectives, and methods. Assist in the selection of textbooks, equipment, and other instructional materials. Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents concerning both the broad academic and behavioral progress of all assigned students. Must have a Bachelors degree in English Studies. Must have West Virginia Board of Education license. Must be proficient in Spanish.
