Applications are invited for :
Instructor I/II (Japanese) in the Chan Feng Men-ling Chan Shuk-lin Language Centre [Ref. B/663/03]
Duties :
Teach Japanese language courses and/or other courses as assigned;
Contribute to curriculum design and materials development;
Contribute to projects, services and activities; and
Take up an area of responsibility such as program/course coordination or programmatic support.
Requirements :
A Master’s or doctoral degree in Japanese Language/Linguistics or a closely-related field [e.g. MA in Second Language Teaching (Japanese major)] or a Master’s degree in a relevant field with an undergraduate degree or 18 post-graduate credits in Japanese; and at least 2 years’ full-time teaching experience (post-graduation) at the secondary level or above. Substantial experience in teaching Japanese at the tertiary level and proven experience in the development of materials in both face-to-face and technology-mediated modes are an advantage.
Candidates with 4 years’ appropriate post-graduate full-time teaching experience may be considered for appointment as Instructor I.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
