This position begins as soon as a suitable candidate can be found. The immediate opening is for three sections of Arabic for the remaining portion of the current semester, with an option—based
on the candidate’s qualifications and desire for an ongoing position—for a full-time, Pre-Tenure position for the ‘21-‘22 school year. The person may also be asked to fill co-curricular and supervisory roles with students to be determined.
A Master’s degree and relevant experience are preferred. The language department values comprehensible input-based methodologies rooted in practical, real-life use of the language and the person hired will be working within a department-wide modern language curriculum. Knowledge of and familiarity with assessing ACTFL proficiency standards is preferred as well as experience with global education initiatives and student exchanges.
Candidates will be expected to make a vibrant contribution to the school’s co-curricular program in support of our mission of the educational and spiritual formation for young men.

The person hired for this position will teach all four levels of French and serve as the primary organizer and leader for our co-curricular programs in French including our developing French Student Exchange program. French teaching experience and a Master’s Degree in French Language are preferred.
