The Lutheran High School Association of St. Louis is seeking to hire a full-time French Teacher for its Lutheran High School South campus. The start date for this position is January 2019.
The teacher’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Encouraging Christian standards in all aspects of school life and beyond
Promoting and investing in a school culture which is positive, purposeful and professional
Supporting and motivating students to be responsible for their own learning
Conducting classes in French with the goal of staying in the target language 90% of the time
Planning and preparing well-structured, clearly presented lessons appropriate to the abilities of all students and the curriculum being taught
Improving, updating and maintaining materials, curriculum and resources, as needed
Maintaining an updated record of progress in our online recording system, post classroom resources, and use technology as a tool to excellent teaching
Consulting with the resource teachers when a student has special educational needs, making appropriate adjustments and informing all parties if they are experiencing difficulties
Providing high quality, accurate, constructive and targeted information to parents in all communications
Attending all events requested by the school, including, but not limited to; parent nights, open houses, prospective student events, and graduation
Must be certified to teach secondary level French I, II, III and IV
Must espouse, and minister in accordance with, the school’s philosophy of Christian education
Must be certified by the State of Missouri to teach in the specified area
Must be committed to Lutheran, Christian education
