The Department of Spanish at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment in Spanish to begin in August 2019. We are seeking a candidate with expertise in Golden Age literature and demonstrable enthusiasm for teaching the Early Modern Period to undergraduates. The successful candidate will also be expected to teach all levels of language, as well as culture, textual analysis, and survey courses for the major. Additional advanced training in Transatlantic or Peninsular studies is strongly preferred.
This position carries a 3-2 teaching load with a full-salary one-semester research leave prior to tenure review, and generous sabbatical and fellowship leaves for tenured faculty. Tenure-track faculty are eligible for travel support and reimbursement of relocation costs within the College’s published policies.
