Greens Farms Academy seeks an Upper School French Teaching Fellow to begin in August 2018. Teaching fellows teach a reduced courseload and contribute to other aspects of independent school life: leading clubs and activities, chaperoning trips, and possibly coaching. Teaching fellowships are generally two-year positions and offer relatively new teachers opportunities for mentorship and professional growth. The position will most likely include teaching three sections of Upper School French. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in French, some experience in and a passion for working with young people, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive community. We value candidates with the ability to teach multiple levels. Proficiency with Mandarin is a plus. All language classes are taught exclusively in the target language, and the department is committed to project-based learning, a thematic approach, technological integration, and communicative teaching.
