At Loudoun Country Day, 6th-8th grade students take French class four days per week. The three-year sequence of courses is expected to be the academic equivalent of high school levels one and two. Though there is a textbook, teachers are also encouraged to develop creative activities, such as field trips, meals, skits, etc. Our priority is to hire someone who is creative, dynamic and inspiring.
Bachelor's degree in education, French, or an education-related field, and experience working with children are required. Experience teaching in a school setting is preferred.
