Healdsburg High School is seeking a full-time Spanish teacher for the 2017-2018 school year. Ideally, we would like to find a candidate with successful experience teaching AP Spanish Literature or other AP-level Spanish courses.
Healdsburg Unified is offering a $4,000.00 signing bonus (payable with the first check the end of August), as well as the ability to transfer all years of public K-12 teaching experience. Additionally, as a Spanish teacher, you would qualify for the additional $1,000.00 annual bilingual stipend. If you are a current teacher in a CA public K-12 school district, you can also transfer all your sick leave from your current district.
Healdsburg is considered a small rural community, but we are nestled right in the middle of the Alexander and Dry Creek Valleys in the heart of the wine country. The community is hugely supportive of its schools, including support through the Healdsburg Education Foundation.
Healdsburg High School, though small (around 600 students), offers a robust teaching program, including a state-of-the art Culinary Arts program, Arts & Multi-media Academy, successful FFA program, Auto Shop and Construction Arts program.
You can find more information about Healdsburg Unified and this employment opportunity at our website, www.husd.com/humanresources.
CA Single Subject: Spanish credential with English Learner Authorization (similarly credentialed candidates from out of state are welcome - we can assist you in applying for an Emergency EL Authorization and help you in the steps to obtaining the full authorization).
