Ashley Hall School seeks a French teacher for 7th, 8th, and 9th grade, for a full-time, 10-month position that will begin August, 2018. This person will be enthusiastic and have a love of French as well as a love of teaching 12 – 14 year olds.
Develop and implement innovative curriculum that aligns with our Departmental goals and the school’s mission
Develop knowledge and skills essential to effectively teach students in the grade assigned.
Promote students' critical and creative thinking and analysis using Project Based Language Learning
Develop lesson plans and instructional materials utilizing authentic resources
Facilitate learning for all students using a variety of instructional methods, resources, and technological tools.
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in French Language, Literature OR Education
Minimum of 3 years experience teaching French at the middle school level.
Experience in an independent school.
Experience with Project Based Language Learning and Curriculum Design
Experience with traveling abroad with students
Experience in a single gender education environment preferred
Five years of relevant experience.
