The Department of Languages and Linguistics within the College of Arts and Letters at The University of Tampa is seeking candidates for a term position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Spanish beginning in Fall 2018.
The University of Tampa is a medium-sized, comprehensive, residentially-based private institution of 8,913 undergraduate and graduate students. Preference will be given to applicants holding a Ph.D. in Spanish by the time of application. The ideal candidates must be outstanding teachers willing to commit to elementary and intermediate language instruction. Candidates should have knowledge and experience in the use of the latest technology for teaching, assessment, and curriculum design.
Teaching duties are four Spanish courses (16 credits) per semester. The University of Tampa is committed to excellence in teaching, and expects its faculty to engage students in learning, scholarly activity, and service.
